MER · CAC payback · AOV

DTC e‑commerce

For DTC brands spending €15k or more a month on ads, where media is the biggest cost after product. We manage to MER and contribution margin, and we make enough creative to keep Meta and TikTok fed.

What usually hurts

  • ROAS that never reaches the bank — Platform ROAS looks fine while blended MER falls, because three channels claim the same order.

  • Creative fatigue — One or two winning videos carry the account, and CPA climbs every time they tire.

  • Discount dependency — Sale days hit targets but teach customers to wait, and contribution margin shrinks with every campaign.

  • Thin second orders — CAC only pays back on the second or third order, and too few customers get there.

Our playbook

  1. Set one number — We agree a target MER and contribution margin per order with your finance lead before we touch a campaign.

  2. Bid by margin — Feeds and bids are tiered by product margin, so hero products get budget and loss leaders don’t.

  3. Ship creative in volume — 40–60 ads a month on Scale, briefed from hook-rate data, with losers cut at a fixed spend.

  4. Raise AOV without a discount — Bundles, subscription defaults and free-shipping thresholds are tested on paid landing pages.

  5. Pull the second order forward — Post-purchase and replenishment flows shorten CAC payback.
